#13 – Creating Cross Stitch Patterns In Adobe Photoshop

Instead of buying a separate program like PC Stitch for making patterns on your computer if you are that kind of crafter, did you know you can make any image into a cross stitch pattern with Adobe Photoshop in just a few easy steps? And after the first, you’ll have part of the process saved, so it saves time from there. The one thing that’s more difficult is that it will not map out the threads you need and their colors – but you can find the RGB color and get it’s DMC Floss equivalent from different sites. Most of these only have certain colors, so I am working on making a comprehensive chart to go along with this tutorial, which is really useful because a friend of mine is trying to do artistic cross stitching to bring in extra income because they are behind on bills… but being behind means she can’t afford the money for the program. The whole catch-22 of needing money to make money… So I thought this might help hobbyists save some money, and some hard drive space if another art program is already on the computer.

#7 – World of Warcraft Herbalism List – In Progress D=

Reference list for leveling herbalism – useful thing to keep if you have alts or are trying to quickly level your herbalism for alchemy or inscription, especially if you’re taking a Death Knight all the way back to starter zones instead of leveling it as you go. I’m a total altaholic… I have every race and class and profession, so I’ll end up putting up references, though you can use guides to help you. I don’t really need a guide as long as I have a reference since I’ve been playing a while. Remember to check your points so you aren’t gathering if you’re maxxed out without training and not getting points for it – lower level herbalism doesn’t have a level limit on your character, but higher up, you can only get the training if you are level 50+. These are generally the order you’ll gather in, though, as noted, some types actually give you a different herb.

#3 – CSS Tutorial vs HTML

For those of you still using HTML, have you considered switching to Cascading Style Sheets? They’re amazingly easy to script, and save a LOT of work when you have quite a few pages you want to match up. The coding is actually really short compared to having to put in tons of HTML after every single thing you do, and even if you use a program like DreamWeaver, it supports CSS and once you have the sheet, it will match up elements on all of the pages without having to go edit each and every one, which can be horrid if you have 100s… or even just 20 with a lot of stuff on them. And it’s a nightmare if you have several domains and sites like I do, so I switched to CSS years ago.
