#137 – Sad and Good News
Some sad news again. Instead of baby girl announcements (my friends Jeff and Summer are having a daughter), I get a phone call telling me a close friend has died of cancer. That’s two deaths, too close, of two people I cared so much about. Both of cancer. And the worst of it was that she wouldn’t let us be there for it. I understand that she didn’t want us to see her that way – to always remember her as the wild cowgirl who always had the best karaoke voice, but we would have been there for her. We’d have acted stupid to make her laugh, and let her cry when she needed to, and instead, she just cut off all communication and we were left unprepared to find this out. I miss you, both Jamies and Freddy.
