#34 – Kettlebell Workout
I’ve had a lot of nervous energy lately, and one of the best ways to work it off, especially tension, is with weights. I love Kettlebell weights, and the workout is extremely thorough. So thorough that I would NOT recommend doing the entire routine if you are out of shape – just do part of it and work your way up. Because I have some health issues, doing it all the way through the first time nearly killed me the next day. I was unbelievably sore. D=
You know it’s a good workout if you feel it, though. And you can feel it – and have results in weeks with this program. You should stick to it, but at least kettlebell weights are coated so you’re not as likely to drop them (yes, I’ve dropped some weights, especially once I’ve worked up a sweat) and they’re uniquely shaped so that rotating or putting your hands on them differently changes the entire workout. I would definitely recommend it – and once you HAVE mastered the routines where you can go through them, the weights work really well for dancing and other routines. For example, following a para para routine with them can really increase your muscle tone and make you aware of your movements, so that you improve them for competition.
Some of us are very competitive, after all. ^_^ That’s why there are stages and tryouts, and why you might want to try this workout. Just start it slow – there are different dvds for different body parts, so you should do the overall one first, but honestly? I skipped around to the parts I needed and they were excellent. Doing the entire body is important, but I really like doing the arms routine so I can look good in a tank top.
