Considering all the bad weather many areas have had lately, many of you may have been looking into a
sump pump installation basement setup. These are good for basements that get a lot of water - and having had our downstairs flooded, I know what a hassle it is, because we don't have a way to drain the water. We used buckets and a broom... But if you're living in a very wet area or one that gets hit a lot with storms, you need more than that. They give free estimates - I have to admit, I know nothing about what horsepower is needed for a certain space, and I would always recommend talking to a professional instead of asking me, but there's quite a bit of information on there and you can contact them. It's certainly a better option that could allow you to salvage anything stored in the basement (ours is all stored in plastic bins now but you can't keep things that may warp in those) rather than let the water sit with your things. I lost many things that were dear to my heart, and we spent so much time clearing out the basement, when we could have had a much easier time if we'd owned a pump and drain.
