Speaking of Gay Rights
On this day in 1895:
1895 - Oscar Wilde is sent to prison for sodomy.
They really used to send people to jail for acts between consenting adults? Funny, I read a lot and I never knew that Wilde had been sent to prison for that. I'm working on a special yaoi box, with a kiss between Kaworu and Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion today, while watching the dvds. Shinji is just so cute, I don't care how many people hate him for being pathetic. I think he's pretty amazing, surviving as fractured as he is.

Gay Rights
On this day in 1996:
Gay rights: The Supreme Court of the United States rules in Romer v. Evans against a law that would have prevented any city, town or county in the state of Colorado from taking any legislative, executive, or judicial action to protect the rights of gays and lesbians.
So if the Supreme Court doesn't seem to think that homosexuality is a choice that will send practitioners to hell, because they're choosing not to make their lives on earth hell, then how come there are so many people who still hate? These are judges, impartial by their very nature and the training and schooling for their job, so why not just accept it, hug your local homo, and move on to something else? People confuse me.

Happy Birthday / Historical Events
Just wanted to tell Aislin Happy Birthday!
On this day in:
1310: 54 members of the Knights Templar are burned at the stake in France for being heretics.
1858 - Minnesota is admitted as the 32nd U.S. state.
1907 - A derailment outside Lompoc, California kills 32 Shriners when their chartered train jumps off the tracks at a switch near Surf Depot. (One of the more morbid ones, ne?)
1997 - IBM Deep Blue, a chess-playing supercomputer, defeats Garry Kasparov in the last game of the rematch, becoming the first computer to beat a world-champion chess player.
Just some notes of interest. =D

Work and Such
This is the new blog for my projects and work, and various things, although, yes, I do still maintain my livejournals.
I inked some pages of GhettoKitten today, but I am having problems with my scanner, which means it's very hard for me to list items on eBay other than things that can be photographed, like children's clothing, and technology. Have sets of doujinshis that I will be putting up for sale. Gry and I have been studying our Japanese, and I'm hoping to be ready in time for this year's JLPT, but if not, I'll definitely be ready for next year's.
I'm no longer attending Kaplan University.
There are some online games I play that get you real money, and another site I use to get gift cards, so if you want an invite, let me know. <3 to my fellow geeks.
